India was suffering in England. Men in Blue were 2-0 down in the series. But they made a brilliant comeback at Trent Bridge. Virat Kohli made 97 and 103. Jasprit Bumrah and Hardik Pandya took five wickets. England was bundled for 161 in the first innings. But they scored 300+ runs in the second innings, thanks to a partnership between Ben Stokes and Jos Buttler. The latter one also scored his first Test century in the match.

This is a historical date for the England cricket team. On this day they whitewashed India by 4-0 margin. This was England’s first series whitewash in seven years. The Indian team led by Rahul Dravid looked shabby in their approach. On August 22, 2011, England won the Oval Test against India by an innings and eight runs. Ian Bell scored a fantastic double century. He was also part of the 350 run partnership with Kevin Pietersen.
India made 300 for the first time in the series, thanks to an unbeaten century by Indian skipper Rahul Dravid. Sachin Tendulkar and Amit Mishra stiched 144 run partnership on the last day of the Test match. It looked like India will save the Test match. But that did not happen. Once he got out, India lost five wickets for just 21 runs. Graeme Swann took nine wickets in the match.

SSC, Colombo. Sri Lanka was up against Australia. The home team needed just 54 runs to win. They had eight wickets left. So, on paper that should have been a cakewalk. But in reality, that was not the case. Off-spinner Greg Matthews and fast bowler Craig McDermott shook the Lankan batting line up and took the next five wickets. Sri Lanka needed 31 more. Then leg spinner Shane Warne came to the party and took the last three wickets. Australia won the match by 16 runs.
