COVID-19 has affected all of us. We are stuck in our homes for almost two months now and we do not know when the situation will get back to normal. All cricketing activities have been suspended. Indian Premier League (IPL) 2020 has been postponed for an indefinite period. Cricketers are spending quarantine time with their families. But West Indies all-rounder Andre Russell has a different story to tell. The hard-hitting batter is finding it extremely difficult to spend time at home as he is not with his wife Jassym Lora and daughter Amaziah. The cricketer said that his wife and daughter were in Miami when the lockdown was announced. With no international flights available, Russell has to wait a bit more before he could catch up with his family. Though he is constantly in touch with them. Russell has also informed that he will fly to Miami as soon as travel restrictions are lifted.
“She [his daughter] and Jassym, they are both in Miami. I stay connected to them and talk to them. I wish I could have them here, but with all these travel restrictions, we cannot do anything,” Russell said in an interview with TV presenter Sanjana Ganesan.
West Indian celebrity couple Andre Russell and Jassym Lora got married in 2016. The Kolkata Knight Riders cricketer and Model Jassym had announced the birth of their first kid back in January 2020. They became proud parents of a baby girl, named Amaziah.
